This privacy policy explains how Salmova Group Ltd (“Salmova”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit salmovagroup.com, contact us, or when we provide marketing and Google Business Profile management services to our clients. Salmova Group Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales and is the data controller for the information described here.
1. Information we collect
- Contact details you give us, such as your name, email address, phone number and company, when you fill in a form, email or call us.
- Client account information needed to deliver our services, such as business details, website details and access to business tools that a client has chosen to share with us.
- Website usage data, such as pages visited, browser type and approximate location, collected through cookies and analytics tools.
2. How we use information
- To respond to enquiries and provide quotes.
- To deliver the services our clients ask for, including SEO, website and Google Business Profile management.
- To send service-related messages and invoices.
- To improve our website and services.
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations.
Our lawful bases are performing a contract with you, our legitimate interests in running and improving our business, your consent where we ask for it, and compliance with legal obligations.
3. Google user data (Google Business Profile API)
Our internal tool, Salmova GMB Automation, connects to the Google Business Profile APIs only with the Google account owned by Salmova Group Ltd, which our clients have added as an owner or manager of their Business Profiles. Through this connection the tool can read and update the Business Profiles we manage, publish posts, read reviews and reply to them, and read profile performance figures.
- We use this data only to manage those Business Profiles on behalf of our clients, as they have asked us to.
- We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties, except where needed to provide the service or where the law requires it.
- Access tokens are stored securely and are available only to authorised Salmova staff and systems.
- Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- Access can be revoked at any time from the Google Account’s third-party access settings, or by removing Salmova as a manager of a Business Profile.
4. Sharing your information
We share personal information only with trusted service providers who help us run our business (for example hosting, email, accounting and cloud software providers), under appropriate confidentiality and data protection terms, or where the law requires us to. We do not sell personal information.
5. International transfers
Some of our service providers may process data outside the UK. Where this happens we make sure suitable safeguards are in place, as required by UK data protection law.
6. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, including any legal, accounting or reporting requirements. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
7. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
8. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict its use, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time.
